About the Spring Grant Cycle
Every spring, the Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation give grants to various local organizations making Kansas City a better place to live for children and families. Over the next month, we'll share more information about each organization receiving a grant and how you can help support.

Amethyst Place
Supportive Housing for Women and Children
Addiction affects more than just the body. Amethyst Place builds brighter futures by helping single mothers and their children overcome the vicious cycles of substance abuse by offering long-term supportive housing, educational support, a safe community and more. We're thrilled to support them in their mission to empower generations of women and children to achieve recovery, reunification and resilience!
Child Protection Center
Mental Health Services Program
Abuse and violence steal the joy of childhood, but Child Protection Center is here to change that. On top of identifying, treating and preventing child abuse, they also recognize that wounds aren't always physical. We're supporting their mental health program, which offers counseling, therapy and more free of charge for affected children and teens.
Cornerstones of Care
Safe Home for Stronger Families
Children belong in families. Families belong in strong communities. This belief is why we're giving to Cornerstones of Care as they support children and families, foster care and adoption, and eduction and community training.
Hispanic Development Fund
HDF Family College Prep Program
We're thrilled to be supporting the mission to improve the quality of life of Latino families in Kansas City with the Hispanic Development Fund. Through the HDF Family College Prep Program, they help students maximize financial aid opportunities, successfully navigate the college process and find the school that's the right fit for them.

Investing in Children and Youth in KC's East Side
We're investing in children and youth in Kansas City's East Side with The Hope Center! We share their vision to develop healthy communities where the vulnerable can have hope and flourish, and we can't wait to see how our donation continues to make a difference for students in Kansas City neighborhoods.
Mother's Refuge
Supporting Young Moms and Babies in Crisis
Supporting young mothers and babies is a huge priority of ours, which is why we're so excited to support Mother's Refuge. They shelter and educate homeless, pregnant and parenting young women by providing services that empower them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies.
Pete's Garden
Food Recovery Operations
Surplus food belongs on the dinner table, not in the trash. Pete's Garden addresses food insecurity in Kansas City to ensure that we have less waste and more meals, even providing meals for other local organizations we support.
Phoenix Family
HIKE (Help Instill the Key to Education)
Phoenix Family's HIKE (Help Instill the Key to Education) program improves literacy in Kansas City by providing personalized reading instruction to low-income children. We're proud to support a specific way to set up children for greater success in school and better opportunities in life.
The Children's Place, Inc.
Improved Outcomes through Early Identification
The Children's Place is a safe and welcoming place for children and families to heal from life's deepest hurts. We love supporting the mental health of our community's children, and this specialized treatment center is doing incredible work to help families overcome trauma and find restoration.
Youth Guidance
Becoming a Man and Working on Womanhood
Youth Guidance sees a bright future for every student, and that's a vision we can get behind. Through their Becoming A Man and Working On Womanhood programs, they champion group counseling and guidance in order to set students up for success in school and in life.

For children, social and emotional development is just as important as cognitive. At EarlystART's child and family development centers, they employ an arts-focused curriculum as an early education program that sparks joy, quality learning and lifelong flourishing.

KCPSFEST and Teacher Appreciation

We're supporting KCPSFest, an annual back-to-school event providing backpacks, uniforms, free lunch, immunizations, physicals and more, to help make their dream of enhanced teacher experiences and student success a reality.

S.A.V.E Program (Suicide Awareness & Anti-Violence Education)
Youth Ambassadors is doing incredible work with their S.A.V.E (suicide awareness and anti-violence education) program, and we're thrilled to support it. This youth-led, peer-to-peer mentorship program educates students on topics like gun violence, anger management, healthy relationships and more.
