Beginning in 1992, Red Friday designates the Friday prior to the Kansas City Chiefs regular season opener as "Red Friday" throughout Chiefs Kingdom. Since that time, more than $3.7 million has been generated for local children's charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City this season.
Chiefs Style Lounge is a ladies night out when fashion and football collide. The annual event features two runway shows featuring Chiefs styles and apparel worn by Chiefs Cheerleaders, members of the Chiefs Women's Organization, Kansas City Ambassadors, and other special guests. The show attire is the latest in Chiefs fashion coupled with style from local brands. A portion of the events proceeds directly benefits a local charity partner.
Following each NFL season, a Kansas City civic organization called the Committee of 101 hosts the 101 Awards, which recognizes the best players and coaches in the National Football League each year. Proceeds from this event have historically benefited various charitable causes, most recently the University of Kansas Health System.
