The Kansas City Ambassadors and Pro Football Hall of Famer Will Shields will host the inaugural Chiefs Legends Youth Football Camp this summer at Arrowhead Stadium. The one-day event will be held on Wednesday, June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include both on-and off-field instructional components.
The event – limited to 200 participants from the ages of 8-14 – is a one-day youth skills football and character building camp with Kansas City Ambassadors acting as coaches and mentors. Campers will spend the day learning football fundamentals from former Chiefs players, as well as key life skills that will help the athletes grow on and off the field.
Registration is now open at www.chiefs.com/fans/youthfootballcamp. Registration is $125 and includes a water bottle, drawstring backpack, t-shirt and a healthy lunch. If registered by May 15, individuals will receive two tickets to the Chiefs vs. Packers preseason game on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
All net proceeds from the event will benefit the Chiefs Ambassadors Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which will be distributed to non-profits throughout the Kansas City metro. The Kansas City Ambassadors presented by Empower Retirement are a close-knit group of former Chiefs players who continue to serve the greater Kansas City community and the Chiefs through local programs, school visits, charity volunteering opportunities and their annual Ambassadors Golf Classic.
In the event of inclement weather, activities on the field at Arrowhead will be moved to The University of Kansas Health System Training Complex.
